In 2010, Joy de Witt, a wife, mom and grandma decided to organise a walk for CHOC after attending a CHOC tea.
The CHOC walk up Sani Pass made perfect sense because Joy’s family had a family home up in the berg. In 2010 there were 89 walkers and in 2017 there were over 450 walkers of all ages. The success of the walk is due to the great planning and the commitment of the de Witt family, especially Joy’s husband Glenn, who has a big heart for children with cancer. We are grateful for this auspicious occasion on our calendar as it attracts people across South Africa.
